Plz don't do this to our loved classics otherwise there.is no time we all will land in a world of remixes where no body will love his culture...u make new songs with whatever talent u have but don't edit the previous ones..there is no victory in it...u r just hammering our culture by doing this...
I am an Oriya guy and understand all the sentiments people are talking about here. But would not it be more accurate for so called talented singers to go out and perform better in Coke Studio? Would not that be more profound to better represent with the authentic culture and meaning?
Why are we cribbing here and making news? Honestly, do we have talents to present this way in coke studio and let everyone at-least know about the song (not keeping the treasure to ourselves)?
And moreover what was so bad about the lyrics and song that hurt the soul of Oriya people? Could not all of the braggers find the beauty in the music, lyrics in the new and modified version?
I agree that it is not right to present the song without the consent of the original owner, if at all that is the case, let the law decide what needs to be done.
But if you all leave the legal aspect apart, i am still wondering about what is wrong in this new song!!?
For the genuine people whose souls are hurt by this new song – You still have the old song YouTube video. Listen, download and keep it with you safely and don’t listen to the new one, it is that simple!
